Bob Watel has devoted his professional life to visually communicating design ideas. His education, including a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Oklahoma University and a Master of Architecture from Washington University, provided an excellent foundation for his specialized career.

He was a Vice President at HOK (Hellmuth, Obata, Kassabaum) at the St. Louis corporate headquarters and for 16 years he served as the head of the HOK Illustration Department where he communicated design solutions for national and international projects. In 1991 he established his own studio and has successfully served a wide range of clients including architects, landscape architects, interior designers, and developers.

He has been a member of ASAI (American Society of Architectural Illustrators) for 25 years. His award-winning illustrations have been widely published and exhibited.
